AKARI is the Japanese term for light. Light is the most important element in creating motivation, energy and well-being for all of us. Light creates good vibes and healthy attitudes. Hence, the wellness area at Hotel Gasteigerhof in Vipiteno focuses on the principle of using light for your inspiration, relaxation and for you to restore your energy levels.

Spa etiquette

Some things you might like to know before checking out our spa treatments.

Dress code:

For hygienic reasons, our Beauty SPA Akari cannot be entered with street shoes. Please wear your bathrobe and your slippers while you’re in the SPA area.

Massages:

All massages require you to be unclothed. You can get a towel and a paper slip to wear from your therapist. It is mandatory to shower before massages.

Pregnancy:

Congratulations! There are special rules that we apply during this wonderful period, und we will be happy to inform you about all the treatments that you can enjoy during your pregnancy.

Facial treatments:

We kindly ask our male guests to shave at least one hour before the treatment.

Sun:

Aromatic oils and sun don’t go well together…

Food and drink:

With a full stomach, massages and baths can be unpleasant, please try not to eat anything one hour before your treatment.

Smoke:

The Beauty SPA Akari is a non smoker area.

Mobile phones:

With respect for the other guests, we ask you not to use your mobile phone in the SPA area or to turn it on silent mode.

Swimming pool:

Due to safety reasons, it is not permitted to jump into the pool. Parents will be held responsible for their children.

Sauna area:

This area is a textile-free area. Please use your bathrobe or your towel inside the sauna area.

Jewellery:

Please don’t take any jewellery to the SPA area or to your treatments.

Fitness area:

Out of safety reasons, children under 14 are not allowed to use the fitness machines.

Cancellations:

For treatments not cancelled in time (24 hours in advance), we have to charge 50% of the fee.
